19TH ANNUAL TEAM FISHING TOURNAMENT WITH SECRET LAKE FISH-OFF
Citizens To Promote Pike, CTPP, will host their 19th Annual Team Fishing Tournament on April 13th & 14th, with a Secret Lake Fish-Off on April 20th. The tournament will take place on Beaver Lake at Sell's Farm.
We have a great list of business Sponsors this year and CTPP appreciates their participation. (If your business would like to be a sponsor, please click the dropdown menu under "News" tab. )This allows us to increase our prizes... First place will be $400, Second Place $200, and Third Place $100.
There will be a Calcutta event each day for the largest bass caught. Two men per boat are allowed with a limit of fifteen boats per day. The entrance fee for this event is $100.00 per person. The expected start time will be at 8:00 AM with weather permitting, and a total of 7 hours of fishing allowed. Plans are being made to provide a barbecue lunch for those participating in the two days of the tournament.
Proceeds from this event will benefit the CTPP Scholarship Fund. CTPP scholarships are designed to help citizens of Pike County that have a desire to work in the following fields, but not limited to: planning, landscape architecture, agriculture, wildlife management, environmental services, and public administration. These scholarships are available for all ages and have been used in the past for younger students to participate in functions that have been hosted by the University of Georgia. CTPP strives for all citizens to learn their responsibilities in protecting the environment and promoting controlled growth.
